Sorry, but enslaving / 'owning' thousands of people is certainly a heck of a lot more 'evil' then killing billions (or billion's of billions).
I disagree.

First of all, slavery is reversible; slaves can be freed. Death is not.

Second, killing billions is a lot worse than killing thousands. Of course, this depends somewhat on exactly which people you kill, but wiping out entire civilisations is certainly heinous by any standard.

Third, even a slave can have a meaningful life, if he/she/it is treated well enough, both physically and psychologically.

By this line of reasoning the Kohr-Ah are the nastiest people around. The Kzer-Za actually seem quite decent due to the degree of autonomy they allow their slaves; most of the 'fallow' slaves appear to be free to do whatever they like within the confines of their own world as long as they stick to sufficiently primitive technology. The fighting slaves only need to accept that the Ur-Quan make the large-scale economic, political and military decisions. For an individual, this is pretty much like any other dictatorship. The Druuge end up somewhere in between due to their habit of recycling their surplus work force as fuel. Also, it is unclear how well the Druuge treat their workers.

umm, the Orz are evil too.
And those freakish arilou... sneaking around is always a bad sign - so, yep, definitely evil.
The Vux and Thraddash are evil too.
The nice thing is that they are all DIFFERENTLY evil.
every race represents a different aspect of evil (excpet those races which represent a different aspect of "good").
Evil is what makes them so compelling.

Sigh. It never ends does it? Whine whine whine. 'Oh boo hoo, we don't want to die. The price of galactic peace isn't worth it. Boo hoo.'

You'd think at least one or more alien races would be a little more accepting of what needs to be done. But noooo, the lot of them just HAVE to be a bunch of selfish buggers. *rolls eyes*

Orz = Evil. FF & PR3 were totally planning on making them an enemy in future UQMs.
VUX = Heirchy Battle Thall who don't like humans. Not necessarily evil, just hate the humans. And they put the "ug" in ugly.
Thradash = Heirchy Battle Thrall with a different cultural style than us. Again, not necessarily evil. But they do smoke, and if they ever do it with children around I'll be willing to call them evil.
Arloo = Good! They are totally the good guy. Yeah, they sneak around. So what. When you see them and talk to them they'll give you the portal spawner if you only get the parts for them. It's not a "this-for-that" situation because they're getting nothing in return. They are freeley giving you more freedom of movement. That can't be evil. Arloo good.

arilou gain a lot from you.
first you are about to get the quans out of their hair (umm... they don't seem to have hair... well... whatever...)
Then, you present a race that is a good source for testing and breeding.
And finally, if they were not nice to you, how would you listen to their haughty advices.

I don't think that 'true' is the right word to use. Whether or not it ends up canon, it's still fiction

Actually, I don't think that the Ur-Quan pose much of a threat to the Arilou, so the rationale that they need you to dispose of the Ur-Quan for them is suspect.  The only reason they fought in the war against the Ur-Quan was to help out the humans.  Once the humans could no longer be helped, the Arilou went back to Quasispace where the Ur-Quan could not reach them.

It's possible that the Arilou really are just nice.

It confuses the human races when we are given something without something being asked in return--it's not in our nature.  We reject it, or become suspicious of it.  But the Arilou don't have human nature--they're aliens.  Perhaps it IS in the nature of the Arilou to treat humans thusly purely out of the goodness of their heart?  Perhaps it's even expected, in Arilou society?

Of course, then, why just the humans?  Perhaps we are the only friends the Arilou have in a cold, lonely universe...

The Arilou are evil or good. They are just trying to survive. Because they had to flee into quasispace they are dying, so they found the humans. They took their genetic code or something so they will survive in quasispace. Play Sc3

... unfortunately, to them the lowest common demoninator is the individual atoms. Not to restart the good'nevil debate here, but in my mind, the result counts, sometimes (but not always) more than warped intentions of purity.

for true Evil, listen the Utwig whine Wink That'll make you shed tears and pull your hair...

SC3 is fan fiction.  Nothing that happened in that game truly happened in the UQM universe.
