The Origins' soundtrack is fantastic. I strongly recommend everyone here find the time to give these tracks a listen. You don't need to give any money to Stardock to hear these on Spotify, though if that isn't a concern for you, you should probably just buy the soundtrack on Steam or GOG. Roughly half of these songs are composed by Riku Nuottajarvi, who did much of the music for The Ur-Quan Masters decades ago and is apparently in great form today.

If I'm not mistaken, the 'only' contribution of Riku to the original SC2 was the HyperSpace music. I put 'only' between quotes, because it is an awesome track, which more than any of SC2's songs helped shape the atmosphere of the game. (He also won TFB's music contest with it.)
Although the hyperspace theme is well-remembered (that track alone exists in several versions in SCO), it's not fair to forget about Riku's other contributions to SC2's music. He also composed the Starbase Commander, Thraddash, Yehat, and Mycon themes, and as far as I can remember, he was also listed as having co-authored the intro music with Dan Nicholson.
Also, SCO's Star Control commander theme (Your Orders) is based on Riku's UQM remix of SC2's starbase commander theme, and a part of SCO's shipyard theme (Ship Synthesis) seems to be loosely based on the Yehat theme.

I wonder which of these songs was meant to be a Chenjesu theme. The Arilou theme is pretty easy to identify (it's "Agendas"), but nothing stands out to me here.
