Even with a walkthrough, some parts are seriously difficult. Apparently the USS Enter- I mean the Earth Cruisers aren't worth SHIT save for SDI lasers. RIP Fwiffo, who heroically died fighting 3 probes. Sticky keys got him until I disabled em.
But he won. May he eternally rest in his mansion, safe from all worries. I absolve you of the first incident.
1-Ilwrath Avengers are invisible to nukes. I mean, how can I shoot them if the ICBM's themselves don't guide. Not enough energy to go Dumb fire with nukes. What ship weapons can track Avenger motion?
HOW DO I FIGHT?! I mean lets not even get to Ur Quan who snagged me when I was going for zor-foq-pik.
2-Do spaceship engines effect hyperspace travel so I can outrun Ilwrath patrols when going to meet Pkunk?
3-Where do I get some decent ship ASAP?
4-Which ship is best for fighting ur quan? or syllandro except Eluder? AI is perfectly fast and this disturbs me
5-Is there a way to make combat easier?

Heheheh. Yeah, the combat is not so nice to new players. Lemme see what I can come up with to help you...
While you're poor on resources, the best thing to do is get your flagship outfitted with all the propulsion modules and stay away from fights as much as possible. These modules are pretty cheap relative to everything else.
Do spaceship engines effect hyperspace travel so I can outrun Ilwrath patrols when going to meet Pkunk? YES. Thruster Modules and Turn Jets are super important.
If combat is really doing you in, you can save your game before every fight and keep taking tries at it.
Avoiding Ilwrath: You don't need to fight these. They stay in their corner of space and tend to be pretty avoidable throughout the game. They even move sluggishly when travelling through their own space. So you could just save your game before travelling through Ilwrath space and loading if you get caught. Or use a retreat sequence to run away from them, since they're fairly slow-moving during combat too.
Fighting ilwrath: You want a flagship with a Fusion Blaster (this is the first tech upgrade the Melnorme will sell you), three Dynamos, and a lot of crew. All you have to do is move towards them and unload when you think you're lined up with their ship. This loadout for the flagship is way stronger than an Avenger and can pummel them in a head-to-head shoot-out.
Fighting Probes: Again, the easy way to blow through these is with a Fusion Blaster. Or rather, two of them, one in front and one in the second-from-front slot. Slylandro Probes are dodgey and the three-directional attack that two Blasters gives you is great at catching them even if you can't line your shots up very well. Spathi ships are also good for this fight, though that takes some patience.
The ally species you're looking for is the Orz, whose ships can beat pretty much anything in adventure mode in a 1-on-1 fight. With this ship, you can pretty much win fights by flying away from your opponent and holding down both attack buttons to spam space marines. The marines will zoom over to the enemy ship, jump on board, and smash everything to pieces. The only catch is that your Orz ships often run out of crew, so you often want to retreat your Orz during a victory ditty by pressing Esc.
Fighting Ur-Quan: Spathi can beat these, believe it or not (the Spathi ship is actually quite badass in general). It takes some skill, but if you mostly focus on dodging and just keep dumping torpedoes from medium range, you can beat these guys. There's a second... type of Ur-Quan that's also beatable with Spathi. Orz are more fool-proof than Spathi, and the flagship can do the job too if you've upgraded it enough.
Is there a way to make combat easier? Get all the Melnorme tech upgrades and turn your flagship into a doomsday machine. Hellbore Cannons, Tracking Modules, Shiva Furnaces = long range homing attacks that wipe out anything effortlessly.

The Ilwrath being invisible to nukes is a hint to avoid that section of space off for a while, only zipping past it to pillage the Giclas and Kruger systems. The game is guiding you towards tackling VUX, Androsynth, and Spathi space first. Those resources can get you to the ZFP, deal with the Slylandro, and tackle the bottom to bottom-right of the map. The first anti-Ilwrath ship that you can get is the Zoq-Fot-Pik, which opens up some of the most profitable planets in the game.
The most important thing to do is max out the booster and turning jets on your Flagship. In hyperspace, you'll be able to outrun the Slylandro and Ur-Quan with ease. If you sell your Ion Gun and Cruiser, pillage Io (one of Jupiter's moons), and save-scum your way through getting everything on Mercury, you can get every booster and most of the turning jets, before even leaving Sol. The other thing to concentrate on is getting as much Melnorme technology as you can, as quickly as you can.

Pity you lost Fwiffo. I usually sell the on-board weapons (for speed and turning modules, and more cargo) and only use the cruiser and Fwiffo for fighting at the start. Both, Fwiffo and the Cruiser can work pretty well against invisible Avengers. Train it in Melee....

First up, download UQM HD Remix - there's a lot of bugs fixed. You can copy your save files over.
Don't step up to Urquan until you've got your ship fully upgraded, is my advice. You'll also get some ships towards endgame that can help you. But venturing into urquan space is designed to be dangerous for the neophyte.

I suggest you try the MegaMod even. I mean, if you're going to advertise your mod the MegaMod is yours plus the hard work of creating the most faithful looking version of the HD mod in existence thus far. ... JEEESUS...
