Subnautica - true sequel?

Honestly this game feels more like SC2 than any game I've played, in terms of mood, exploration, etc.
Seriously, I'm hooked, I've had to stop playing for a while. Picked it up for free during epic game store's opening, amazing graphics, amazing sense of exploration.

A survival game in the ocean, with crafting? That seems like a pretty big stretch to compare this to SC2. It does look like a decent game, I'll grant you.

If you play it, you'll see what I mean - it's not about the specific mechanics or setting, it's the atmosphere/exploration.
