Unable to complete download - error is resolving hostname
« on: October 19, 2019, 11:21:16 am »

My windows install will not complete, I'm unable to fully download the .uqm .7 content, exact text of the dialog box showing failure is:

Could not install the package uqm-0.7.0-content.uqm due to the following error: "resolving hostname".  This is a mandatory package. Without this package the urquan masters 0.7.0 will not run. do you want to try from a different mirror?

So far no mirrors have worked.

Happily you guys turned out to have downloadable separate files for exactly this case!

Unhappily there is no ONE location for ALL versions and ALL offline files.

If you have the location where you got your files please post.

I am making a repository and hosting it permanently where everyone can go for ALL things Star control including the original releases.
Of course I assume no responsibility for the code and it is up to each user to ensure they have a paid copy of anything they choose to download.

Either way I wanted to have a single location for everything and you can help by sharing what you used to get going.

I was in the same boat and realized the built in downloaders in the installer are hard coded to locations that are gone now.
I had to search a long time to get 0.7.0-1 (so I can use the UQM save editor) as many of the replicated sites had corrupt images in some of the files.

Thanks in advance.
