Help!!!

When i talk with the starbase commander, he keeps telling me about probes that attacked me and that i need to stop them. But he doesn't say where i have to go. Can Someone please help me?

You should gather lifeforms from planets to sell to the Melnorme in Alpha Centauri, and they'll eventually tell you where they're coming from. You can also figure it out by talking to the Thraddash or the Zoq-Fot-Pik.

But don't worry too much. Just because the commander brings up the probes doesn't mean you HAVE to get rid of them. It just means that the probes are going to become more and more common as the days go by.

It's perfectly possible to beat the game without solving that quest, and for a lot of people, it's preferable not to because destroying probes gets you money.

It's just a side quest. Don't panic too much about it. Just keep gathering creatures from planets to sell to the Melnorme for information and you'll get what you need eventually.
