Exploring the Moon

Okay, maybe I'm being retarded, but after I get to the moon and go into the little building thingy it comes up with the text.  It gets to the "(more)" part and then that's it.  I pressed all the buttons on my keyboard and nothing seems to give me "more".  Am I completely whacked, or what?

Hey, I was whacked!  Apparently the only button I didn't try was the right arrow and, sure enough, that worked.  You may all disregard my insanity.

Well, you should have been able to press just about anything.

When I posted the first message, I pressed every other button (including F12, to my dismay) and nothing else worked.  I tried enter, space, shift, control, and alt buttons first.

Yeah, this was a bug, which should now be resolved in CVS.

It's not. I downloaded this thing yesterday.
I had the same problem, but after almost giving up it worked the next time I tried, when I went straight there from a new game. I'll skip straight to the point and say that I've found that every time I do an autoscan before going to the moonbase, no key gives a response except for F1 and F12. If I land straight on the moon without scanning first it works perfectly.

I said it's fixed in CVS, which it is. Version 0.2, which you downloaded, doesn't have the latest updates. If you want the latest codebase, either get the source off of CVS and compile it, or get one of striker's unofficial builds (see the FAQ in the other forum).

(and if you did make a CVS build or downloaded one of striker's builds, and you weren't running 0.2 then perhaps it's not entirely eliminated).

edit: The scanning/not scanning thing was a coincidence; a rather large one.

Also, thanks; will do.

I've heard rumors about it being related somehow to ship renaming or accidently renaming.
The advice offered then was to restart the game, rename the ship, save, reload and play.

Yeah. But it's fixed now, so that's no longer necessary. (Unless you're one of the unfortunate people who's still running 0.2).

For those people who cannot find a good CVS version I say:
go and download striker's version, it has most of the fixes.
you can find this version through the FAQ in the other *channel* of the forum.

Same thing here. When I hit the Lunar base, the text hangs at <more>. I've got the .2 alpha build.

Sweet, the .3 alpha just got released! So never mind, this should fix the problem.
