You start out with all the going-faster technology. The trick is to install it. Go to the outfit starship section, select "module" then hit up. This brings you to the turning thrusters. Hit up again and you're on the main engines. At 500 each, you'll be able to max out your speed quickly (and you should).

in the game i killed a lot of black Ur-Quan
thats all i did i did not kill any green
well i killed one green in vela
:'(warning 
(you can kill all the black Ur-Quan if you want
it will not get you any where)
i attacked the guards who where watching that ship
just the black Ur-Quan till there where no more
where did the replacements come from i guess they send replacements for the black Ur-Quan
