Can you guys put in a switch which will make the time/date not move while you play to allow for greater exploring???  Or, is this in the works already???

Nope. Not likely to get put in, either. The game is too easy once you know where stuff is and what you need to do.

Well... actually I already did that
There was a program called Game Wizard or something like that. You could use it to get some more RU's or Biological Data or lock some values (like the date) on one level.
The problem is that ships in hyperspace appear at the beginning of every day. So if you lock the date there wont be no ships in hyperspace, making the game extremely boring.
