Isn't that funny? Vux vs Shofixti

Tanaka(the shofixti furball) saying that he has encountered a vux intruder on his way to gorno
and as an obvious sentence: "On my way home, I encountered a VUX Intruder. Before I destroyed it
the VUX was able to affix some of those vile limpet things to my ship
and I had to return home at a greatly diminished speed."

now comeon
how can possibly a 1 crew guy can actually destroy an intruder without even using the glory device?  Tongue

If it had one crew left and it had used up its entire battery power on limpets and Tanaka had a full crew complement and he got off a single shot... I can see it happening.

The Shofixti 0wn the VUX's weak asses..  They can fly circles around them (literally), and their primary weapon has greater range.  QED.

It's bit of a slow fight, but it's one what you can win almost every time, and without having to resort to "drastic measures"..

And I guess maybe the limpets were attached as he made a final charge (seeing the Intruder have only 1 or 2 crew, he got reckless)?

God, you see how incredibly coated with limpets Tanaka's ship is? It's like he specifically tried to get hit by as many of them as he could. That or he got careless and was hit by a few and the VUX captain went limpet-happy, cackling madly as he emptied his entire battery into his limpet launchers. Forgetting that he had no crew in the ship besides himself.

...what really ticks me off is when the dork FLIES himself into the planet while you're escaping out of the battle (and can't gravity whip past it cause of limpet-ness).

The guy is suicidally depressed. Of course a normal shofixti is just suicidal. But immagine you in his shoes. You'd pick a fight with anyone who'd kill you in battle, but he is such a great warrior that he can't just give up, and usually ends up winning, poor guy.

heh i dunno,
but for me it sounded like the furball was saying it as an obvious thing, that shofixti>vux, which usually isn't true if the shofixti wont suicide
