you can create your own character also there is npc player that plays it self and ther is a npc headquaters tells you where to go
play any race you want
you can be captain Bot of  the vux
or lord 999 of the ur-quan or any other race like human
kind of like ultima onlin third dawn paper doll where you chose what you look like. man or woman human of different nations of earth and there is a paper doll for what race you want
the idea i was thinking of like i said before
you can captain a ship
or run a star base set up mine build ships and defense
set up a colony
thats what im talking about

But the npc telling us where to go would be annoying. Military isn't fun; a realistic simulation of military execution won't be fun either.

(then for get what i said about npc telling people where to go because i hated that when in sc3 icom would bug me)butt i guess the rest is ok Grin

I've just skimmed through this thread.
You must remember that different people come from different time zones. Meaning that while some are online, other's are not.

Consider the implication for either game idea (SC2 like, SC1 like or empire building games).
Would you like someone else to play you're ship/empire/whatever for you?
