Except I'd hope that FF and PR3 would have a major part in the construction of UQM 2. What I don't like about Timewarp is some of the proposed additions they've decided to implement. Namely, their 'new race'. The idea seems somewhat farfetched and sketchy.

True, any new race is far fetched, but we cant remain with just the old well konwn ones... Or are you referring to the only known race, those associates of the Druuge?

FF=?

Timewarp = some new developing company?

For the newbie's benifit I'll spell it all out, plus some stuff you'll need to know later. You can thank my high-and-mightness later (laugh at that, it's a joke, yo):

FF = Fred Ford, one of a pair of gods responsable for bringing us StarControl. Mainly, as I understand it, the story man.

PR3 = Paul Rieche the Third, the other of the two gods that brought us StarControl. As I understand it he was the programming guru. (The details may be incorrect, but one was one, the other was the other.)

TFB = Toys for Bob, FF&PR3's own label, created after SC2. It is the valhala where the twin gods reside.

Timewarp = http://www.classicgaming.com/starcontrol/timewarp a fan made project that has probably made the most head way into an actual complete fan made sequel for StarControl of any project. It's far from complete, but is defonately the closest.

Are "they" (TFB) planning on making a sequel = Only they know. Thus far, speculation runs high, and hope flows like a delicious river of rasberry cream though the forum, but TFB hasn't spoken a definitive word, that I know of.

Thanks for spelling it out, I knew that fred and paul were the masterminds behind it all but the abreviations threw me off.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that "they" make a new one!

Does anyone else think that the Starcon Universe would work as a TV/Movie too? Not that I actually think it would make the jump, but I think it would work.

Doesn't quite have the mainstream extreme popularity neccessary for it. Few games can pull it off, starcraft or diablo are probably going to do it.

The new race, the one that is supposed to be liquid people, a la that episode of Futurama. The ones that use sunglasses on their glass bottles as a mark of prestige, and are supposedly the 'renowned spokespersons' for the Druuge, since the Druuge all of a sudden are supposedly 'shy' and 'reluctant' to perform sales face-to-face.

I mean... what the carp... (stinky fish..)

Doesn't sound very much like the Druuge to me, they enjoy face-to-face business so they can con you out of what they want.
