Think that's something. Have him post on a thread you started, or even better, in direct answer to the question you posted on that thread.
I just about died and went to heaven.

Personally I imagine it must feel somewhat odd to have co-created a game over a decade ago which was rather popular in its time, but now is mostly forgotten by the gaming world as a whole and is now only idolized by a relatively tiny group of die-hard gamers who still cherish the game and consider you as the co-creator to be worthy of worship.

Or maybe it's just amusing.

I wouldn't know.

It's definitely odd.  We are proud of what we did close to 11 years ago, but we didn't realize what we were doing at the time.  Our intention this time around was not to receive worship but to reward the die-hard fans for their devotion and maybe keep alive something that is dear to us.

P.S.  I didn't choose the 'TFB God' moniker -- it was assigned -- and if you knew me you would know I never would.

in all my gaming travels, i never would of imagined, that i would some day be reading a post from the cocreator, of the *best* game, this side of the universe. in my small little world, i never considered actually *seeing* the programmers or all people that put a game together. i just plug and play. i think its rather nice that Fred takes the time out of his *busy* life to talk to us "the fans". heres to you Fred and Paul =raises his glass in your direction= may your travels be good ones, and your games sell millions. Having grown up with a best friend who programmed a very cutting edge program as well as a popular shareware game, and went on to deal with a throng of worshippers who built an internet forum based off of his work and his life, I sort of can recognize how odd it must feel to receive worship for a program you wrote years ago.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have chosen the 'God' moniker for yourself, that sounds a bit tacky and trite, and not many people would really do that even on their own forum.

And, the aim of keeping something dear to you alive makes a lot of sense. It sounds a bit tragic to think about the possibiilty of creating a fairly popular work and then watching it succumb to the fading effects of time.

Makes me wonder how many decent novels were written over thirty years ago that are no longer in print and noone knows about because they were never re-issued.

Kinda inspiring to keep the memory aflame, I think.

Now wait a minute. What about Groombridge? The graphic you were so kind to give us looked alot like you were diefing yourselves to me.

But yawl deserve it. To me you're more of an idol. Something to look up to, something to strive for. SC2 UQM is to me everything I'd make in a game if I could. It's funny, dramatic, beatable, replayable, ends on an up note, and in the end kinda leaves you feeling like there's something more to this life, something better and more fun.

Hmmm...I think the twin entities at Groombridge created their own universe, inevitably they became the Gods, but I don't think the value of Gods depends on the number of the believers -- a great game is not always a million seller.

Btw, I believe Fred is a cyborg with human feelings rather than God, who has at least five tentacles.

Primat ... we're all wondering if you will spill the beans. Out with it. What game did you friend program now?

Just check the e-mail address. It is indeed the same Yukki. Proceed to lay worship.
