This game is fantastic, I love it to death now

Only a few things I can't figure out.

Where the heck are the sylandro? my friend said Delta Corvi planet 3 but there is only one planet in Delta Corivi...ugh

also,

I have two point defense systems on my ship, but I don't know how to turn them on, anyone help me with this?

Point defense systems don't need to be 'turned on' or fired. They just work if you have enough battery!

You have to be holding down your special weapon key for it to activate, just like on an Earthling Cruiser. Speaking of Point Defense, I just tried out that old idea of having a huge number of point defense modules (10) so you could block fusion blasts and disks.

It doesn't work. The fusion blasts survive, and even if they WERE blocked, your rate of fire on the point defense is so pathetic that they could deal 36 damage to you before your second shot got off. Your main hope is to get behind and stay behind. Of course, this is something you could do ANYWAY... and it's no easier since you still can't shoot down the plasma bolts. Unless that's a bug. What's the specified behavior?

Sheesh, Ken. most of the information you're looking for can be found at www.classicgaming.com/starcontrol

There's star locations and walkthroughs too. Not to discourage you from talking to us here on the boards, but this thread is really turning into one potential spoiler for the 3 or so people here who have never played the game.

But if you really want this information without delay and in a coherent form Ken, I'd advice checking out the FAQ's on both this page and PNF. It's easier than just asking to look around.

Of course if the rwason you're unwilling to go with these is that you're afraid of spoilers, you have my sympathy. This is just a friendly suggestion if you want to find this info quicker. If you prefer this way, by all means continue. After all, we're here to help.

Hmm,  my post was taken too seroiusly, again. I keep on forgetting that sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate.

The point is, why not post spoiler? How many people on this board hasn't played, beat and played again UQM? 3? 1? Ken alone? Most of us have beat it. Post spoilers, yawl. Tain't gonna spoil it for anyone.
