Earth is in the system Sol.  Its a yellow star at about.. 250:250  Its right next to a small red star.

Yeah, and watch out for the space Mafia: the Melnorme.

According to our scanners and other sensitive devices
you are immobile in HyperSpace with no fuel reserves.
This is a serious situation.
Without fuel you shall drift here until your batteries exhaust themselves
then your life-support will fail
and you will expire
unless, of course
a hostile alien vessel finds you here helpless

Umm... fighting the Melnorme is a marginally better idea than blowing up Hayes' Starbase (which is mercifully impossible)
