UQM doesn't use the content path parameter for addons if I recall right (bug from UQM 0.3 side).

Nope, this works perfectly, and has worked perfectly from the moment it was introduced.

Okay. It was strange because I had problems with it. UQM wasn't finding the addons no matter how I tried. Even tried running from command line, but I didn't launch the uqm.exe from the uqm directory directly. Without the content parameter it didn't find content at all, but if I specified the content directory parameter it didn't find the add-on packages. (it here means uqm, not loader). Well the strange thing is, that it works now.

BTW, Mark... I installed UQM on my laptop at work with the default...

C:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters

Then I put the zip files for the addons in:

C:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters\content\packages\addons\mv-0.1-sfxpak\mv-0.1-sfxpak.zip

and

C:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters\content\packages\addons\yellow-fried\yellow-fried.zip

Still doesn't show the addons in "Loader"!  Huh

If you use IRC you could come into the UQM irc channel #sc2 at freenode network. I'm sure the bug, or whatever it is, isn't anything big and fast to fix, but would help a lot to have someone who can reproduce the problem.

There were some problems with spaces in the content path in the 0.3 version. Could you try using names like Progra~1 etc and see if that helps?

im not sure if this falls under what you guys are talking about but, i was having the same kinda of problem. i couldn't get addons to show up in the loader, even though i put them in the "add on" folder in uqm default install. it wasnt till i created a new folder within the addons folder and named it "yellow fried"(the addon i was currently trying to get to work). so my suggestion would be to create a new folder and try that. but if this isnt the same kind of problem your having, then disregard.

That is how you are meant to use addons.
