I'm fully aware that this is off topic (see post title if you don't realize that), but if the mods disapprove of this appearing here, they (of course) can strike it down and you'll get no complaints from me. With that out of the way, on with the show.
1 2 3
All the toolbars I utilize are hidden away by default, and are accessed by "bumping" a screen edge and pressing a certain button on my mouse. Screen #1 shows my bottom menu with winamp controls and song title, and the left menu that has several submenus like the one shown that branch off of it.
Screen 2 shows my custom skin on windows itself (yes this is a windows machine) and in the taskbar. Note the tiny Run menu. I achieved that by editing shell32.dll and replacing it. Also you can see my custom controls for window management (note: I don't use all of those controls regularly but it's handy having them all accessible). The taskbar area that would have the clock instead displays free ram in MB and percentage, and an uptime counter measured in days:hours:minutes. The longest I've kept this machine on without having to reboot was something along the line of 8 days.
Screen 3 basically shows off Trillian and what I was talking about in the UQM IRC channel at the moment (seeking approval of this topic, which was inconclusive).
Post up your pics and show your desktop off!

I think it's a bad idea to pollute the boards with topics like this that don't have anything to do with UQM or SC2. I suspect that most people here read this board for the SC2 and UQM related items, and if we allow topics like this, it will only become less interesting for new people to become involved. Personally, I couldn't care less what your (non-sc2) desktop looks like, but I understand there's some sort of community forming here, and I acknowledge that some people might have become interested in the non-uqm non-sc2 facts of others here. I don't know how large this group is. If it is large enough, it might become desirable to add a new board for non-uqm non-sc2 chitchat. I haven't talked this over with the others yet, but if it's up to me, this topic will be removed, and if there's a large enough group interested, it could be moved to a new board. Please let yourself be heard if you have an opinion
To be continued.

Really to me, topics like this are pointless and boring.
