That's great advice; it would be better were it true.
But it is starting to point to as-yet-unnamed problems with the win32 installer: perhaps it is silently failing when it cannot download the content?
Perhaps the installer needs a postinstall process whereby it checks for all the required files in a "reasonable location" and spews forth errors if they cannot be found? Is there already something like this in place, and people such as our esteemed guest are simply ignoring the errors? Not that any of this affects me, but I am curious as to how "the other side" works.
how about a program which checks if all files are in place and they are not corrupted? Md5summer.exe is good... but I don't know how to use it on uqm...
edit: found out how to use it!!! 10 sec after I posted... I will make a link for it if it works and if you think it will be useful.
