Winning the final battle
« on: December 05, 2002, 02:32:29 am »

i've gotten to the last battle on the game and everything goes fine until 2 shield generators remain. top left and bottom right. i've tried to destroy them for full 20 minutes, often hitting with all my ammo (using Pkunk ships for this) but they just won't go down. the last 2 renerators just seem invulnerable. bullets don't even seem to reach them, stopping just before them. i'm getting really tired of trying...

For that you might want to try the RTFM method.

There are already two other threads about this. Like we said those two SEEM to be the hardest, but if you work at it they are possible to destory (it's so much harder then it is in the PC version though). However, the shield thing doesn't go away, so it's impossible to beat the game in this version.

there is a way you dont have to fight battle plat form
turn on super robot mode
you skip battle going to talking pet saying you did a good job and how he is not leaveing with you someone locked him in
then a  turn over to where your ship moves in. you escape in a pod and your star ship advance blows up the sa-marta

Well, that would take the fun away.
If it's true, it's a bug.

As for taking care of those last two: given their positions, I suggest that you change the direction you're running around the Sa-Matra (clockwise <-> counterclockwise). I find that having a longer distance to make the approach really helps.
