Hi, I remember reading that the intro, end and ship info movie scenes for 3DO were done by a 3rd party, and therefore cannot be part of UQM because the 3rd party not allowing it.
(Luckily I own a working Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 with working sliding door, and 3DO copy of the game) (By the way you can burn 3DO games on your computer, and the 3DO will play burned games!!!)
I also noticed in the 3DO credits(quite recently, even though I've had the game for like 10 years), that under Arts and Animation, the company Silicon Knights is mentioned.
My question is, is the third party who made the animations Silicon Knights? The same Silicon Knights which are currently making Too Human for XBox 360, based in St. Catharines ON CA?
Since it is odd, that even on the SK website there is no mention on their involvment in SCII, and to people I know who work at SK don't even know about it(though they are recent employees that go to school with me)
Either way, I just wanted to know if it was that SK that did those animations, and any reasons if we know of, why not to allow the vids for UQM? Although I guess I could just ask Dennis Dyack myself if I see him around town(by chance, or get a job at SK).
P.S. Nice to know that a company local to where I lived might have had been involved in some way to my favourite game of all time
