Help!
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:56:31 pm »

Hello everyone, I remember playing this amazing game about a year ago, but I lost it in the process of reinstalling Windows Sad

I wanted to play it again these days, so I started downloading the new version, but an error occured:

''Could not install the package uqm-0.6.0.-content.uqm due to the following error: ''connecting to host''. This is a mandatory package, etc etc.

So, can I try and download it from some other place (if there is a second downloading option), or can I fix this somehow??

The installer should actually try to download from multiple hosts.
But if you download those files manually, and place them in the directory where the installer is, the installer will use them from your local dir, and will not try to download them.

Yes, it actually worked after a couple of hundred tries, heh...

Also, I saw some talks about mods... are there any mods worth mentioning for this game?

There are, though extremely few. See here.
There's also Nicholai's mod, here, in the works.
And there's the Cookies Mod, here, which looks completely abandoned - they didn't post anything about that mod for a lot of time, and they didn't reply to my post in their thread either (unlike Nicholai).
