White screen on Ubuntu

Hi I have Ubuntu 8.04 and I installed UQM and it ran fine. Then later I tried messing with the video settings to make the image clearer, and now every time I start the game up I get this white screen that flashes occassionally

You can delete the file ~/.uqm/uqm.cfg to reset your configuration settings.
