Freakin' noob question...

Never played this game, but from what I've read it looks like fun.  I haven't ventured out of Sol yet but I've figured out how to upgrade the ship, mine minerals, buy fuel...

But for the Love of God, how the hell do I add crew members?  I've read the faq.  I've gone through all the dialog.  I'm guesssing it's on the Outfit Starship menu but nothing seems to work...

Little help please?  Thanks in advance! =)

edit:  I've added crew quarters, but I know I could have 50 crew before and I'm down to 5 now and I can't figure out how to add any!!!  AARRGGHH!

You add crew in the shipyard. Select the flagship, press ENTER, and then press (or hold) the up key.
