freebsd hid_init?
« on: December 25, 2002, 04:11:42 am »

Hi, I recently downloaded uqm-0.1-freebsd-static and the content files to my freebsd machine, but whenever I try to run it, it gives this message:

bash-2.05b$ uqm
The Ur-Quan Masters v0.1 (compiled Nov 27 2002 22:16:41)
Initializing SDL (pure).
SDL driver used: x11
SDL initialized.
Initializing Screen.
Set the resolution to: 640x480x32
Initializing SDL audio subsystem.
SDL audio subsystem initialized.
Initializing SDL_mixer.
SDL_mixer initialized.
opened dsp at 44100 Hz 16 bit stereo, 2048 bytes audio buffer
   compiled with SDL_mixer version: 1.2.5
   running with SDL_mixer version: 1.2.5
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /home/shaggy/lib/uqm/uqm: Undefined symbol "hid_init"
bash-2.05b$

so I'm wondering if this has been fixed or not in later versions.

I found that using the dynamic build avoids this problem.
