I didn't do it, I found it.  And the way I understand, if something is "shit" it is bad, but if it is "the shit", it is more awesome than awesome.  Don't know why, that's just the way it is.

There's a similar thing in Hebrew slang - when something is really awesome, we say it is SONNAmabitch. Go figure. Tongue

That would be because I translated it to English for you guys... Tongue The actual Hebrew is "BENzona" (or "BATzona" for feminine nouns). The stress on the first syllable is key (it is normally on the last one, like in English).
