I made this lovely new setup. Mods, can I keep it?

In a discussion where you post a lot, these images are going to take up quite a bit of space on peoples screens, while it adds nothing.
Even though the picture may be nice, it won't be interesting for people to see over and over again. You've already got an avatar from which people can recognise you instantaneously.
I'm not going to 'veto' it just yet, but I don't think it's a good idea either.

I don't think there's a need to get the council together, I'll take it off. I'm just frustrated with the miniscule avatar size and space limit.

It becomes very repetitious and space-consuming. And that's said by the guy with the huge LCD monitor, not some ages-old screen that just fits UQM with no magnification. Avatars are fine because they're shunted off to the side. But adding height would be bad.

You must seek to practice the art of Tai Kwan Leap.  Is your name Ed Gruberman?  Grin

Could you get a wider picture and shrink it?

Wouldn't that distort the picture? I think the word you were searching for was crop the picture.

First get a picture thats wider. Maybe croping would be part of that. Than resise it virtically and horizontally so that it has around the same proportions and mine.
